56% of Rountree’s students are economically disadvantaged. 41% have limited English proficiency. And 13% have special education needs. Chase Oaks Church currently sends 43 church members to the school on a regular basis to build relationships with the staff and children. They provide monthly birthday bags for the students and rewards for attendance and behavior. They help with Meet the Teacher Night, the Fall Festival, a Christmas store, teacher in-service breakfasts, Science Fair judges, Community Education Night, teacher appreciation, and more. If you’d like to get involved – or if you have questions – please contact Jim McGuire at jmcguire@chaseoaks.org.
Coming in March 2010: 25 new church-school partnerships with Episcopal Diocese!
