Memorial Elementary

56% of Memorial’s students are economically disadvantaged. 53% have limited English proficiency. And 16% have special education needs. Chase Oaks Church now sends 35 mentors to the school each week. One member teaches a drum line class. In 2009, they worked with others in the community to help the school put on their first school carnival which raised $1,600 for the school. The church also helps with a teacher encouragement luncheon, Field Day, facility improvements, some dental and medical assistance, and more.
