Feed3 Backpack Initiative
The Feed3 initiative is a collaborative project with the Texas Hunger Initiative and local non-profits, and churches to feed children in our area that need food afterschool, weekends, and through the summer months. The listed sites are where partners are needed to help feed children. If you are interested in helping with one of these potential sites, please contact our organization.
To help children suffering from hunger, we provide backpacks/food bags for churches, non-profits, buisness groups, etc. to fill with nutrional food. We provide these in boxes of 25 and also a list with directions to help your group complete the task. If your group is interested, please request how many boxes (containing 25 backpacks/bags each) you need. Send your request, group name and contact informaton to: info@dallasjusticerevival.com
This past summer we worked with Central Dallas Ministries (CDM) and local schools to feed thousands of children in our area that need food afterschool, weekends, and through the summer months.
In partnership with CDM/AmeriCorps program, this past summer, 250 people were placed throughout Dallas to work with youth. AmeriCorps is a national community service organization with 70,000 members serving throughout the United States. More than 10,000 Dallas area children were fed this summer through the Nutrition Corps program in partnership with PepsiCo. This program will continue in the summer of 2011.
